Braile Biomedica, a medium-sized company whose president is Dr. Domingo
M. Braile, was founded in 1977. Situated in São José do Rio Preto (450 Kilometers
from São Paulo City), Braile Biomedica is considered by government institutions
and the specialized press to be a reference center of industry and medicine
in the state of São Paulo and in Brazil. Covering an area of 4,000 m2 (another 2,500 m2 is currently
under construction) of a total area of 8,000 m2, the company
has 3 main sectors: Industrial, commercial and research. Braile Biomedica’s
employs 222 people, of which 123 are college graduates.
Research is a priority
Braile Biomedica has an average personnel growth of 5% per year and since this is an excellent rate the company intends to maintain it. The main focus will be on investing in human resources in the area of research, development and staff training. Due to the fact that this is one of the sectors that receives special attention, the sector of new project research and development at Braile Biomedica is always thought of as being at the forefront of new technological development.

The only Brazilian Company in its category with 100% national technology. In addition to the biological product line, it also manufactures electro-medical and disposable products. The area of electro-medical equipment has developed and is producing extracorporeal circulation pumps, external transesophageal and demand pacemakers, rectal and needle thermometers and the triple chronometer. In the department of disposable goods, the company has developed and produces a complete line of membrane and bubble oxygenators, reservoirs and blood filters, blood cardioplegic systems among other products. Thanks to the high quality of its products, Braile Biomedica is improving its international sales each year. Nowadays 15% of Braile Biomedica’s production is exported to the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Trinidad & Tobago, Germany, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia, Turkey, Syria, Kuwait, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Jordan and Romania. Because of the expansion policy of Braile Biomedica, products will soon reach other countries such as, the Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Albania, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Yemen, Mauritania, Australia, Malaysia, China, Korea and Japan.
